FC Boston’s Scorpions Welcome Three New Full Time Coaches!

New regional staff to support club growth.

Evan Burokas - Central

Evan Burokas of Auburn, MA is the newest full time Assistant Director for the FC Boston Central Region. Coach Burokas has arrived at the club highly recommended for his successful soccer career as both a player, and coach. 

Burokas earned his International bachelors degree at Merrimack College where he went on to be named a Two Time Daktrnoic All American, Two Time Conference All Star, Two Time NE-10 Assist Leader, and Top-10 National Assist Leader. After a successful collegiate career, Burokas played three years of Semi Pro before earning his first Professional Three-Year contract with Western Mass Professional Soccer Club of the ASL. In 2015, Burokas Professional team claimed the Eastern Conference Championship, and was an ASL National Finalist. 

At the age of 26, Coach Burokas has amassed 5 years of coaching experience with a variety of different colleges and club programs. Coach Burokas spent 2013-2016 as the first assistant coach of the WPI Men’s Soccer Program. In 2014, WPI advanced to their programs first ever conference finals. He joined FC Boston this past winter and lead the U14 Central Girls to a Scorpions Bowl Championship and a 3rd place spring finish in the league while suffering only one defeat all season. He also coached the U18 Metro West Boys to an undefeated spring season, claiming the U18 NEP Championship along the way. 

Burokas has gathered USSF and NSCAA National Diploma Licenses and is on course to continue his coaching development. Burokas’ favorite professional team is FC Barcelona. 

 

Danielle Gordon - East

Danielle Gordon of Rockland, MA is the East Girls Assistant Director for FC Boston! Coach Gordon currently coaches the 2008, 2006 and 2004 Elite FC Boston teams in the eastern region. She holds her NSCAA

National and Advanced Regional Diplomas and is First Aid/CPR certified. 

Danielle developed through Scorpions competitor club South Shore Select. She played 5 years of varsity soccer at Rockland High School. She won state titles in 2005 and 2006 and named all state in 2007 and 2008 before earning a chance to travel to Brazil to play for the Region 1 ODP team. Upon graduating high school, Coach Gordon earned a scholarship to Boston College, before transferring and making her mark with the Northeastern Huskies.

After finishing her college career, Danielle pursued her passion of soccer by staying involved coaching youth Soccer all over Massachusetts. In 2014, she assisted Notre Dame Academy Womens' soccer program in making school history, winning the state title. She was just recently invited to the coach at US National Training Center, and plans to dedicate her professional career to her passion. 

 

Tumi Gugushe - Boston

Tumi is originally from South Africa and lives in Boston now. He played club soccer with Juventus USA winning 2 state cup finals and played for one year with the Boston College Mens team. Tumi has both NSCAA and USSF coaching licenses and plans on continuing his growth through more coaching and courses. 

Tumi also coached the Boston College Men's Club Team. He was an assistant coach with the Fisher College Falcons Men's Team and worked with the New England Revolutions development programs. He has a burning passion for all things soccer and is constantly focused on growing soccer not only in Boston, but also in the U.S. His favorite professional club is team Arsenal.
